How it works

the same patterns

What hypnotherapy actually is

Not what you saw on stage.
Not what you saw in films.
Something far more useful.

Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind. The part of you that runs about 95% of your daily thoughts, reactions and behaviour. It is where your beliefs about yourself were formed, where your emotional responses were wired in, and where most of the patterns you are tired of actually live.

In a session with Danique, you are not unconscious. You are not being controlled. You are in a deeply relaxed, focused state — fully aware, fully yourself — where the subconscious becomes more open to change than it is in ordinary waking life.

Think of it less like therapy and more like updating an operating system. The conscious mind is the screen you look at. The subconscious is everything running underneath it. Most approaches only work on the screen. This works on the code.

Not this "You will lose control of your mind."

You are aware and in control the entire time. No one can make you do or say anything you would not choose to. The relaxed state simply makes the subconscious more receptive. That is it.

Not this "It only works on certain people."

If you can follow a guided visualisation or get absorbed in a good film, you can be hypnotised. The depth varies from person to person, but the results do not depend on being highly susceptible.

Not this "It is just deep relaxation."

Relaxation is the doorway, not the destination. What happens once that door opens — releasing old emotional charges, rewriting limiting beliefs, building new neural pathways — is where the real work takes place.

Your subconscious is not working against you. It is working exactly as it was trained to. The question is who did the training and whether you are ready to take over.
